SUMMER SCHOOL 2013
Two options exist for summer school:

2)  Bearden Site-Base Odyssey  (applications available here or in guidance):
May 28 - June 11 & July 15 - August 5th; 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Due to recent district-level changes in regarde to Odyssey coursework, Summer Odyssey coursework is available for the following courses only:

AP Exams begin this week.
All AP Exams will be given at ITT Tech, which is located at
9123 Executive Park Dr. Knoxville, TN 37923.
Please arrive by 7:45am for morning exams and 11:45am for afternoon exams.

March 12    Curriculum Night at BHS for students and parents 5:30 - 8:00 pm
                  (Special Ed Meeting 5:30 or 7:00 pm in Room 342; Honors meeting 5:30 - 6:00 pm in Auditorium)

March 14    Pink registration forms turned in to school counselor

April 12      8th grade students visit BHS

August 9     Freshman Orientation at BHS

Selective Service Registration: 18-year-old males

Within 30 days of your 18th birthday you are required by law to register with Selective Service. This keeps you eligible for student loans and government jobs. You can do this by going to www.sss.gov or filling out a form at your local post office.

Curriculum Update

All you need to know for course registration 2013-2014, including graduation requirements and registration timeline. This information was made available during open house, January 24, 2012.

Open House - January 24, 2013

On Thursday, January 24, counselors will host a meeting regarding graduation requirements/registration for all rising 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. This meeting will be held in the auditorium from 5:40 pm - 6:10 pm.

Guidance will be open for parents or students to register for AP exams. Please bring exact change or check.
Free ACT Test Prep

Lincoln Memorial University and QualPro are offering free ACT Test prep with an option to earn one college credit. See your counselor for more details or register online at www.LMUnet.edu/ACTprep.
PSAT Results ... and what they mean!

JUNIORS
were given the opportunity to pick up their PSAT scores during lunch today (Friday).

FRESHMEN
 AND SOPHOMORES can pick up their results next week during lunch in the West Mall area.

 New Student Enrollment 2012-2013
Read about the Enrollment Process and the Documents Needed for Enrollment. Come prepared on one of three New Student Enrollment days: June 20, July 18 and August 1.
 Summer Credit Recovery 2012
Credit recovery application. Students must have a minimum average of a 50 in core courses to apply. Repeating the course in the classroom is always the first recommended course of action. However, credit recovery is available for students who are off track with graduation and credits.
