TN Governor's School
Students in the 10th and 11th grades who would like to participate in a challenging and high intensity summer program in one of 12 different domains need to download and sumbit their application to their school counselor by the following deadlines. School for the Arts website is www.gsfta.com and the completed application is due to the counselor by Oct. 28. All other program applications are the same and can be found at www.state.tn.us/education/govschools. The deadline for submission to the counselors is Nov. 22 for these 11 programs. Two programs, Engineering and Sciences are to be submitted electronically. See your counselor or the website for all of the details!

Selective Service Registration: 18-year-old males
Within 30 days of your 18th birthday you are required by law to register with Selective Service. This keeps you eligible for student loans and government jobs. You can do this by going to www.sss.gov or filling out a form at your local post office.
Free ACT Test Prep
Lincoln Memorial University and QualPro are offering free ACT Test prep with an option to earn one college credit. See your counselor for more details or register online at www.LMUnet.edu/ACTprep.
